The Duomo

The Milan Cathedral, also known as the Duomo, is the fifth largest Cathedral in the world. The Gothic cathedral was dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente and took nearly six centuries to complete.

The first night we were here, my roommates and I explored the streets that surrounded our apartment in Milan. To our surprise we turned a corner and this massive cathedral was right in front of us. It is an absolute gorgeous monument with an intricate design and absolutely beautiful architecture. Next week we plan to pay a small fee to tour the inside of the cathedral.
